Media is becoming increasingly important as a pedagogical tool but for many that only means using already produced video or linking to a website. For this workshop, I will show how use Omeka to link to external sources such as YouTube and Avalon but in addition be able to provide segmentation and commentary to go with the video segments. In addition, I will show how to upload and use your own videos providing segmentation and annotation, as well as how to have students provide their own commentary and interaction with those videos. Finally, I will put together a scenario where the student would be able to upload and interact with their own videos through an external source like YouTube or using your own or IU’s web server, Webserve.
