In this workshop, participants will learn about ESRI StoryMaps and Timeline JS. ESRI StoryMaps is a friendly, widget-driven platform for creating web maps with a little extra. We’ll take a look at several StoryMap apps and learn how to create narrative maps that integrate photos, text, and time. Timeline JS allows users to develop an interactive web-based timeline to showcase digital images, videos, and other content. Timeline JS is a free, easy-to-use tool that requires no prior technical expertise, and it permits embedding of numerous digital media formats to enhance your project. In this session, participants will build a timeline from scratch using a variety of digital items. Participants will also gain some knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and prior knowledge is not required.
