Following on the Digital Library Brown Bag presentation, “Metadata re-write: Moving Avalon metadata from XML to RDF,” join us for a hands-on look at using OpenRefine to turn a sample dataset containing typical library-cataloged information (such as dates, subjects, and names) into Linked Data in RDF format. OpenRefine is "a powerful tool for working with messy data: cleaning it, transforming it from one format into another; and extending it with web services and external data.” Transform our data and your skills!
