The Indiana University Libraries Moving Image Archive - in association with African American and African Diaspora Studies, African Studies Program, Black Camera, Brazilian cafezinho, Brasileiros em Bloomington, Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies, College Arts and Humanities Institute, Department of Anthropology, Department of Spanish and Portuguese, IU Cinema, The Lilly Library, The Media School’s Cinema and Media Studies, Office of the Vice Present for International Affairs, and Peter LoPilato and The Ryder -  presents a double-feature tribute to Brazilian filmmaker Nelson Pereira dos Santos (1928-2018) on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 with Boca de Ouro (Gold Mouth), a 1963 drama based on the play by Nelson Rodrigues at 7pm and Estrada da Vida (Highway of Life), a 1981 musical-comedy at 9pm.

Both films are subtitled in English. With introductions by Darlene J. Sadlier and Andy Uhrich.

This event is free, but ticketed, and open to the public. It takes places in the Wells Library Screening Room, room 048.

The Screening Room temperature tends to run cool, so please remember to bring a jacket or sweater. 

No food or drink is permitted in the Screening Room.
