Unable to be in the classroom for one of your class meetings? Instead of cancelling class or arranging for a guest lecturer, find out how to use Zoom to meet with students and teach your class online. Zoom is a web-based video collaboration tool with high-quality audio and video, screen and document sharing, breakout rooms, whiteboard tools, polling, and chat for questions. Zoom class meetings can be easily recorded for future reference, and all faculty, staff and students have access to Zoom. In this workshop, we will discuss when and how to use Zoom video conferencing to teach when meeting in the classroom isn't practical. We will discuss best practices in using Zoom to engage students, and how to prepare your students for a Zoom class meeting. Participants will practice setting up a Zoom meeting, using Zoom features for teaching a class, and recording the class meeting for later access. Registration is required as lunch is provided.
