Did you discover old records in a closet or basement? Are you running out of space for files on your shared drive? Are you involved in a student organization and wondering how to preserve the history of your group?

Let the IU Libraries University Archives help!

This workshop will introduce attendees to the University Archives, including its mission, functions, and staff. It will provide an overview of the types of records typically collected and how those records are used in research, teaching and learning. The workshop will discuss techniques for getting records out of offices & off of hard drives and in to the Archives for preservation and access. Participants will walk through the process of inventorying their records and devise a plan to manage their records moving forward.
