Directed by Haifaa al-Mansour, Saudi Arabia’s first feature-length woman filmmaker, Women without Shadows addresses the issues Saudi women face by showing the conflicts of cultural tradition and religious thought with the influence of modernity. The film is a personal journey to discover what has happened to the woman's role in the Saudi society. (2005, 45 min, Arabic with English subtitles)
